If you have a Gen I US FT and want to add the Dogbone offset feature this kit gets it done. You can choose from 2" or 3" offset. The 3" offset was primarily designed to be used in conjunction with the Gen II butt plate but it will be suitable for rather large long necked individuals with a Gen I Butt plate as well. The Dogbone offset feature has been standard on all US FT's since 2005 when Billy Lo Won the FT Nats using it. It allows for a more heads up position and added adjustments. You can see the dogbone on my Gen I #7 US FT is relatively centered on my rig for Benchrest use and the offset is used for Field Target primarily to get you into the most comfortable position.
